To Send a Letter to the Editor

Letters should be brief and to the point, preferably 200 words or less. To be considered for publication, they must include the writer's address and a daytime phone number. Initials and pen names are not accepted, nor are letters addressed to others. Letters from the same writer are not published when they follow frequently upon another. Do not send a letter as an email attachment such as .doc or .txt. We cannot open such files. All submissions become the property of The Times-Picayune and will not be returned. Submissions may be edited and may be published or otherwise reused in any medium.
